Once you have a baby your old life goes out the window.  Now you have a tiny screaming tyrant ruling your life. Your baby decides when you sleep, eat, and even shower. Becoming a Mom is Scary

No one tells one that becoming a Mom is scary. A brand new life will be completely dependent on you. The best way to not fear Motherhood is to prepare. Learn what you need to know to take care of a baby.
Becoming a Mom is scary so prepare yourself. I was nowhere near prepared for Motherhood! Though I don’t know if anyone ever is I was very far from it. I remember the exact moment my life changed. Sitting in my OB GYN’s office staring at a screen when I saw the first picture of my unborn daughter.
 
That was the moment it became a reality. I had already taken a pregnancy test but I was hoping it was wrong. Having my life completely change wasn’t something I was ready for. I wasn’t ready to be responsible for another human being. I never planned on becoming a mommy but looking at this picture I had become one.

Breastfeeding is harder than I thought it would be! I had no idea. It didn’t occur to me to prepare for breastfeeding by taking classes and reading books.
I assumed it would happen without any effort on my side. All I knew was breastfeeding is natural and I wanted to nurse my baby.  I knew it was best for my baby.

Getting your baby to Latch

I didn’t know you had to teach your baby how to latch. I didn’t even know what latching was. But not all babies know to open their mouths wide enough to latch onto the nipple.
