Rather than giving my kids more toys they don’t need, I’m choosing to give them a non-toy Easter basket this year. Christmas wasn’t that long ago and all the toys my kids received are already forgotten. Hopefully, they will get more use out of these non-toy Easter basket ideas.

Non-toy Easter basket ideas

Bubbles

I have never met a kid who doesn’t love bubbles. Bubbles are magical floating orbs that put smiles on kids faces. They love blowing and chasing after them. Bubbles are inexpensive are bring joy to kids.

Soccer Ball

A soccer ball is fun to take to the park and encourage your kids to run around when they’re bored of the slide and swings. It also helps to tire out the little ones and get them ready for nap time!

Jump Rope

A jump rope is something all kids should have. It’s inexpensive and can provide hours of entertainment. I loved jumping rope when I was a little girl. I spent hours outside with my friends seeing how long we could jump without messing up. This is a great gift to get your kids outdoors.

Magic 8 Ball

The Magic 8 Ball holds the answer to all your kids questions. They can tell the future with this magical ball. As long as it’s a yes or no type question. This is a Easter basket gift they won’t expect.

Uno Card Game

Uno is a classic card game that is fun for the whole family. The rules are easy enough to understand for your school aged kids. You can even use the cards for younger kids to teach them their numbers and colors.

Side Walk Chalk

Your Kids can use
sidewalk chalk to create large outdoor master pieces. Sidewalk chalk is also fun to take to the park when your kids get bored of the playground.

Books

It’s always nice to add new books into the reading line up for kids and for parents! Books are also cheap and great gifts to give to kids. My daughter loves the Pinkalicious stories.

Play-Doh

The Play-Doh in my home usually needs replaced a few times a year. It’s inevitable that my kids will leave it out and then it gets dried. Or the colors all get squished together to make a strange brown color.

Color Bath Drops

Make bath time fun with these color bath dropz. These drops dissolve quickly and changes the bath water to bright colors. These make bath time so much easier when my kids refuse to take a bath.

Slime

My daughter loves making slime. Slime kits give you everything you need to make it. A slime kit would be a unique addition to any Easter basket.

These non-toy Easter basket ideas will help your kids get outside, exercise, promote creativity, and provide family entertainment. What is the Easter Bunny bringing to your kids this year? Let me know in the comments!
