MTurk is a legitimate way to make money from home. It will take a while for you to learn the platform. But once you do you will be able to make enough to pay for a week’s worth of groceries or to fill your gas tank.

I like the platform because I am a stay at home mom and it gives me a way to earn money without having to commit to an actual job. You can log in when you want to and work as much as you want. The amount of money you make each day is up to you.

So far I have only been able to make around $80 a week. I know that doesn’t seem like a lot of money but when you don’t have an income making any money is something.

I’m happy being able to make a little cash while staying at home with my little ones. I’m not obligated to log on and work. As a stay at home mom, it is hard to commit to working a set amount of hours or working at a specified time. MTurk gives me the flexibility that I need.

Make Money from Home on MTurk

MTurk is on the Amazon platform. Workers complete micro-tasks or surveys to make money on Mturk. Your funds will be available when the requester approves the completed task.

You’re actually working for pennies on some of the tasks. If you are looking for the higher paying tasks you’ll want to focus on surveys. The highest survey I qualified for was $16. Generally, you see surveys for a quarter to one dollar.

Of course, like anything else you do, it is all about how much experience you have. The more HITs (tasks) that you complete the more HITs open up for you. Also, the better paying HITs become available to you.

I have been working on MTurk for a year now. I started at the end of May 2017. So far my total earnings are $2,203.39. It’s not a ton of money but it’s something. It’s nice to be able to make money no matter what the amount.

Mturk does have a learning curve and can be confusing the first time you log in. To help you make money on Mturk search for YouTube videos. The videos will help you learn some of the lingo and how to find your way around the site.

A couple channels I like and found helpful were Baebae Sanders and Mturk Guide. Both of these ladies do an excellent job informing you about how to earn money on Mturk.

One thing these ladies will tell you is that you need to install and learn how to use scripts. Scripts will help you find more tasks and make more money. There are thousands of HITs available to you. Sometimes it is hard to find the better-paying tasks and that is where scripts come in.

I also suggest joining an MTurk Facebook group. The group that I belong to is amazing. If you have a question there is always someone there that is willing to help you. If better-paying HITs are up the group members post about those tasks.

It may take time for Amazon to get back to you. When I first signed up it took a few days to get a response to let me know that I wasn’t approved. I felt rejected. 6 months later, though, when I completely forgot about the crowdsourcing site I received a letter welcoming me to the team. You might not get approved right away but have patience.
