What Mom Really Wants for Mother’s Day

Flowers, chocolate, and jewelry are nice gifts but maybe you should try changing it up this Mother's Day. Here is what Mom really wants for Mother's Day.

What Mom really wants for Mother’s Day is to not be a Mom. Don’t get me wrong. We love being a Mom. But for one day out of the year, we don’t want to be a referee, a cook, a maid, or have to wipe anyone’s butt except our own!

Let Mom Sleep

Breakfast in bed or taking us out to brunch would be nice but taking the kids out to get doughnuts would be better.

While you’re at it take them to a park and let them run around for an hour or two. That way Mom can enjoy an extra hour or two of sleep.

Serving us breakfast in bed or taking us out to brunch is a nice thought but ultimately it’s more work for us.

Mom will end up being the one who cleans up the kitchen after breakfast is made.

She will also be the one who has to get the kids dressed to go out to brunch. Then be the referee at the table when one of the kids wants to sit where the other kid is sitting.

So skip breakfast and let Mom sleep in. Because that’s all we really want. Moms have lost so many hours of sleep raising our kids and we would love to sleep in for 1 day.

Pamper Mom

If you do insist on buying us something then get us a message or a mani-pedi.

We are Moms and we are stressed. We’re the caretakers and the ones responsible for running the household.

There is a lot on our plate and we need to relax. A message would be the perfect answer to relax our tense bodies.

Another great way to pamper us is a mani-pedi. We are constantly on our feet chasing our kids, cleaning, and cooking.

Sitting in a chair for an hour while someone else pampers our feet and puts pretty colors on our nails sounds heavenly.

If you are on a Budget and not sure if you can afford the cost of pampering the Mom in your life, check out Groupon to find great deals.

Time Alone

You know what Moms never have but wished they did? Time alone.

It doesn’t need to be all day. An hour or two by ourselves would be amazing. Time alone is an experience we never get.

Take the kids to a park, to a movie, or do both. We rarely have the house to ourselves and never get peace and quiet unless everyone is asleep.

Moms would love the opportunity to read a book. Or binge-watch their favorite show without kids interrupting them every two minutes.

Flowers, chocolate, and jewelry are nice gifts but maybe you should try changing it up this Mother's Day. Here is what Mom really wants for Mother's Day.

A Clean House

While Mom is out getting pampered why not clean the house for her. Pick up all the clutter, mop the floor and clean the bathroom. We clean every day and it would be nice for someone else to do it for us.

If you want to see a happy mama just show her a clean home! You may even make her cry tears of joy:)

What Mom Really Wants for Mother’s Day

What Mom really wants for Mother’s Day is to sleep. She also wants time alone and to have pretty nails. Her backed rubbed and a clean home to come to when she’s done being pampered.

Flowers, chocolate, and jewelry are all nice gifts but maybe you should try changing it up this Mother’s Day.

I hear this!! I’ll say though, as much as I love these things, I really do love a nice lunch out with my family as well.

Lunch out with family is always nice! Lunch is a better idea than breakfast so you can sleep in a little:)
