These gift ideas for active preschoolers will keep your little one moving. I have a very active 3-year-old. He’s always climbing, throwing, or hitting something. He wants to go to the park every day, which isn’t a bad thing but we live in the Pacific Northwest and it rains a lot! When it is dry outside I try to take him to the park or at least go for walks with him. But we do spend a lot of time indoors.
When we are inside it’s hard to keep him entertained with regular toys. So I don’t want to get him another Lego set, toy cars, or stuffed animals for Christmas. I want to get him something he’ll actually use. So I came up with these gift ideas for active preschoolers.
Gifts Ideas for Active Preschoolers
I don’t know why but about an hour before bedtime my little guy always gets a big energy rush. Instead of calming down and getting sleepy he’ll get super hyper. I’m hoping this trampoline will help him burn a lot of that energy that way when we lie down he actually stays down. Instead of getting up and running laps around our home.
My little guy loves playing on the slide whenever we go to the park. He usually spends more time trying to climb up it instead of sliding down. This slide is perfect for keeping him busy indoors when we can’t make it to the park. It also folds so it’s easy to store.
A balance bike teaches kids how to balance. So they transition straight to a bike without training wheels. My son got this bike for his birthday. Right now I’m carrying it more than he’s using it. I’m sure he’ll like riding it more the more times he uses it. I wish I would have got my daughter one of these when she was younger. She’s 6 and still using training wheels.
Whenever my son sees one of these at the park he wants to hop on it and take off. Taking these when we go on walks would be a lot easier and funnier for him. Now that he’s older and doesn’t want to ride in the stroller as much. This scooter can fold too which I like because if we walk to the store I can fold it up while we shop.
Soccer balls are fun to bring when you go to the park. It gives them something to do when they get bored playing on the slide and swings. It’s also a good way to get them tired and ready for a nap!
We are huge San Francisco Giants fans in our home so of course, we want our little one to learn how to play baseball. You never know if we’re raising the next Madison Bumgardner or Buster Posey 🙂
This bounce house is small, about the size of an air mattress. Which is perfect to get out some energy while indoors. It has high walls so you don’t have to worry about little ones falling out. You can even throw plastic balls in it to make a ball pit.
We can’t have ride-on toys with wheels because we have carpet in our home so it makes it hard for my little guy to move on one. This horse hopper is a perfect solution because he makes the toy go by hopping on it instead of pushing it.
We had a small basketball hoop that was attached to the wall but it kept getting ripped down by my little guy. We tried putting it up higher but he couldn’t throw the ball up high enough. This basketball set will help save our walls from getting any more holes in it and it will keep my little guy active.
Your little one can bounce out their energy with this foam pogo jumper. With every bounce, it also squeaks. You can use it indoors and it’s always durable enough to use inside. The pogo jumpers are a great active toy and encourage coordination and balance.
These gift ideas for active preschoolers will keep your little ones moving. Either inside or outside they are sure to burn up some energy. These gifts will encourage them to be active.
